Responding to the publication of the Office for Legal Complaints Annual Report, a CLC Spokesperson said:
“The OLC’s Annual Report identifies ongoing significant problems with LeO’s cost per case and a worrying impact on their performance owing to a high level of staff turnover. Our concerns about the cost and efficiency of the OLC are well documented, with the OLC’s fees accounting for 28% of the fees we have to charge to practices.
We welcome the transparent approach being taken by the new Chair and her understanding of the challenges the organisation faces. We will work with her and the OLC team to support their improvement as well as continuing our ongoing work to ensure better first-tier complaints handling in CLC regulated practices.”
