The CLC and HSBC are now in the final stages of agreeing the processes that will ensure that the bank’s systems incorporate all CLC firms within its mortgage conveyancing arrangements. The new arrangements, agreed in July, will be introduced on 15th October 2014.
Read this important information about what you need to do now.
The CLC and HSBC want to ensure that the new arrangements proceed as smoothly as possible, making the change over for firms and future customer experience trouble free.
Transitional arrangements will be put in place and the date when firms can start acting for HSBC will be linked to the date of the customer’s mortgage application. The new arrangements will therefore only apply in respect of mortgage applications submitted on or after 15th October 2014. HSBC mortgage customers who have already completed their application before this date will not benefit from the new arrangements.
Although the new arrangements will not be fully up and running until 15th October, HSBC will make customers who are applying for a mortgage shortly before this date aware of the change.
Your firm will need to register with Lender Exchange for HSBC in order to receive instructions. Please do not try to register until full details of how to register are sent to you by the CLC during the week of 6th October.
